Jacquard + Spring Layers

Hello loves and Happy Wednesday to you all!  Confession… I might be a tad bit obsessed with this Zara jacket and this gorgeous scarf from Shop Urbanite! They paired together oh-so-perfectly and the colors were just delightful.  It was freeeeezing here in NE yesterday (aka it was 40 degrees and raining) so I had to layer it up to stay warm and cozy! Not to mention that the conference room where our New Employee Orientation was held was honestly like an ice-box, Brrr Baby!

This Zara jacket that I hunted down and purchased from the lovely Meghan from Citrus Refreshing Fashion is just down-right amazing! And then add this candy-colored goodness of a scarf = instant mood lifter!  As I mentioned earlier, it was a chilly Spring day, so I had to bust out the ole Old Navy booties 😦 It is so hard for me to switch-gears because all I want to wear is open-toe sandals, bright colored pants and bare my semi-tan/semi-white legs!

What to wear on cold, rainy days??? My gorgeous arm candy from Mindy Mae’s Market to bring some pink cheer into my day!  If you have been living under a rock (j/k j/k.. but no, really!) and have not yet checked out what MMM has to offer, you should run!  She has the most darling and dashing jewelry and the quality is always excellent!  This hott pink bracelet is on constant rotation, along with the mint one I have, as well!

Side-note: I am SO glad I made that impulse decision and bought this bright blue satchel from Tarjay.  For those of you that missed out on this bag, Target just came out with THE cutest Spring bags!  Large satchels and minis, too! I have linked them here, here, here and here 🙂  I plan on getting the large pink and mini blue!

I hope everyone’s week is going smoothly and cheers to Humpday!  Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hello!

Good as Gold + N Side a Diva’s Closet

Hello loves!  Today I am doing a product review for the company N Side a Diva’s Closet and I am happy to report that I love all of the products they so kindly sent me!

These mint and neon yellow earrings are pretty much everything! I am always leery about large, statement earrings because I dislike heavy pieces that pull down on my little lobes and I end up having to take off half-way through the night.  These definitely make a statement but did not once feel uncomfortable or heavy! I paired them with neon yellow pumps, camo skinny jeans, a deep-v draped black blouse, a dainty gold necklace, and a cream and gold Jimmy Choo clutch!  It was one of those nights where everything came together so effortlessly! And of course I forgot to snap a pic 😦  I am going to have to recreate it again soon!

As of late, I have been drawn to dainty bangles and bracelets (it all started with my first Alex & Ani purchase!) so I was eager to receive this particular piece.  Also, I have super duper small/skinny wrists and this particular bracelet was just the right size for me! I love the gold and yellow/amber stone and I think it will pair nicely with all of my go-to armcharm pieces!

LOVE! Gold, bling and the message of Love… what else could a gal need in one necklace? Don’t get me wrong, I love a large, bold and bright statement necklace, but sometimes, simple is best!  I paired this necklace with a sideways cross necklace that Tony got me for Christmas two years ago (I wear it everyday!), a simple black v-neck tee, distressed denim and a pair of white patent leather pumps! It was just enough sparkle to add to my laid-back look while keeping the look simple and carefree!

Be still my heart.  I love the coral and bright blue hues of this bracelet and it has the perfect amount of stretch which ensures a great fit for everyone! I wore this bracelet with neon peach boyfriend-esque pants from Gap, a cream sweater with neon paint-splatter details and nude bow heels.  It added just the right amount of punch to my work look!  These colors work marvelously together and would look great with many, many ensembles!

Thanks for stopping by and as always, your support and friendship truly means the world to me! Have a great day Gal Pals!

B-Ivy + a Monogrammed Mousepad

Hello friends!  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  I don’t know about you all, but I seriously love bright and fun office/school supplies!  I may be nearing the age of 29, but I will always enjoy cute notebooks, planners and pens.  And this Chevron monogrammed mousepad from B-Ivy is no exception!

The wonderful Mikaela has so kindly sent me this chevron rainbow mousepad and it was perfect timing, as I just started my new job and have a blank canvas of an office to decorate and make it my own!  B-Ivy has SO many darling items and I cannot wait to share with you some amazing goodies!

Here are a few other items that I am totally crushing on!

I am loving the bow bracelets and the long dainty bow necklace! Stop by B-Ivy and take a looksie 🙂 Have a great day!

Bows & Glitter Make My Heart Pitter

Hello friends! My apologies for being absent for the past week 😦 I began my new job on Monday and I literally have not even had time to eat three meals, let alone blog and be an IG friend.  So please accept my apology and I am trying to get back into the swing of things!

Moving on… THESE SHOES! I have been stalking/watching/waiting/praying about these Kate Spade glitter and bow loafers for the past two months and by the grace of God and because I have baby feet; these beauties were marked down below $50 and I got the last pair in the entire store! I had no intention of purchasing that day, but let’s be honest, there was no way in hell I would walk away from these!  That would have been crazy; pure nuttiness!

I paired them with my favorite AG skinny ankle jeans (ankle on tall people, regular length jeans on shorties like myself), a candy-colored necklace, a classic gingham button-down, my trusty leopard belt from Target, some armcharm from Mindy Mae’s Market and, of course, my first and favorite Kate Spade bag.  On Wednesday we celebrated National Denim Day to support Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention and I must say, I am so proud and honored to work and belong to an organization where community engagement, support, and programming is of the utmost importance.  I am right where I need to be, and that is a priceless feeling!

I have not been able to locate the KS glitter & bow shoes online for as on-the-cheap as I got them for, but I have found some fabulous options for all of my budget-abiding gal pals!

Spotlight Weekly Link-Up: Menswear Inspired!

Hi Gals and Happy Thursday!  Today I have the pleasure to be co-hosting the Spotlight of the Week Link-Up with Jacqueline from Stylin in St. Louis and Elle from Living in Color Style!  Our look this week was focused on Menswear-inspired ensembles.

Collage-4

I thought this shocking pink tipped silk button-down from Jcrew was the perfect piece to wear for this Spotlight!  I paired the blouse with a fun multi-colored printed pair of leopard pants (that I scored for less than $8 at Gap!), my go-to candy-colored statement necklace (Jcrew Inspired) and the elusive Shocking Pink Mari sandals that I hunted down from a Jcrew in NYC last fall!   And in sticking with the cheery hues of this look, I opted for this bright blue, Kate Spade-inspired, satchel from trusty Target! (still available online btw).

Okay, so now you should link up with us!!! Unfortunately, WordPress and JavaScript do not mix and I cannot display the link-up on here 😦  BUT, all you have to do is click here (Stylin in St. Louis) or here (Living in Color Style) and you will be able to do-so from those two fabulous blogs!  Of course I will be checking-in on who is linking-up and will be a part of deciding who we would like to feature, which I am SO excited for! Cannot wait to see all of your gorgeous ensembles and thanks so much!

PS: What do you gals think about this outfit? I don’t love how the pants photographed (don’t you hate it when that happens?!).  I am going to wear it to work today and try to get some more photos of this ensemble because in real-life, it was so pretty!!!! So stay tuned for a #bathroomselfie and an IG post 🙂  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Friday Eve!

Minty Blue + Florals

Happy Humpday Galpals!!! In keeping with my Tuesday Bluesday theme from yesterday’s post, I decided to bust out the blue and mint pieces I already own and create a new combo that was springy and bright, yet warm enough for my chilly morning commute.

I only have two more days left at my current job and I am curious to know what kind of mirror and lighting situation my new place of employment will have to offer for my #bathroomselfie enjoyment?!!! Haha the things I think about 🙂  PS, I am co-hosting Spotlight of the Week Link-up with Elle and Jacqueline tomorrow so make sure you link up your menswear-inspired looks!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope everyone’s week is going speedy and smoothly!

Tuesday Bluesday

Hello ladies and Happy Tuesday!  So today I wanted to share with you my current color crush = blue!  I don’t know why, but in the past I have loved blue on everyone else but never thought it was a good color for me.  I even have bright blue eyes and have always been told (by my mom) that blue looks ‘SO GOOD’ on me, but I just wasn’t buying it… literally!  But, as of late, I have been opening my fashion-box and welcoming some blue hues into my life and wardrobe!  Here are some pieces that I am swooning over and hope to make mine sometime soon!Tuesday Bluesday
Also, this Thursday I am co-hosting Spotlight of the Week Link-up with Jacqueline from Stylin in St. Louis and Elle from Living in Color Style, so make sure you visit our blogs and link up your fabulous Menswear-inspired ensembles!  Mush Alert… I just want to say thank you to all of my family, friends, and readers for supporting this little blog of mine and stopping by to see what’s new; it truly means the world to me!

Hello ladies and TGIF! I am bringing you some fabulous statement necklaces that I think you will really love and I know your bank roll will thank you! I cannot get enough of statement necklaces.  Like it’s a problem! Just when I think I’ve seen enough, Forever 21 strikes again.  My personal faves are the cobalt and gold tribal-esque beaded stunner (#8) as well as the coral draped bib (#1)!  I’m also swooning over the holographic beauty (#7) and it totally reminds me of something my darling friend, Kate, would wear! What are your favorite statement trends of the moment? It’s no secret that I love me some color and lots of bling so keep ’em coming, baby! Friday Frills | Statement Necklaces

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Hello and Happy Humpday, ladies! The weather has been just downright delightful this past week so I thought it was due-time to bust out this pink tipped Jcrew Silk blouse and mint pencil skirt!  I also have been waiting for the right time and outfit to wear these gorgeous statement earrings and today was the day! I’m praying for decent temps this weekend so I can get some blog pics taken that are not captured in the bathroom mirror at work lol! But, in the meantime, I could not NOT share this punchy pastel spring look!

Orange Creamsicle

Hello and Happy Tuesday, friends! I just love these neon peach broken-in khakis from Gap! They are so comfy and I’m digging the boyfriend-esque look.  I have them in three other colors because they are my work staple; especially transitioning from cooler spring mornings to warm afternoons! The neon pastel orange paired marvelously with this light weight cream and paint-splatter sweater from Old Navy.  It is the perfect easy-does-it outfit but yet is still professional and appropriate for the office!

Secrets don’t make friends and friends don’t make secrets…. SO let me fill you in on wear I got this awesome corally/orange and blue bracelet! I was contacted by N Side a Diva’s Closet to do a review on a few products; and if happy with quality, etc. then we are going to do a giveaway for all of my dearest fashionistas!  This is the first piece I have worn from them and I am 100% positive that I adore this bracelet! It will go with so many ensembles and brought the perfect pop-of-color to balance out my peachy pants.  I can’t wait to share with you the other fun pieces they sent my way and I assure you that you will not be disappointed in this bracelet!

Now, onto very important matters…. these shoes! Okay, so you know those mint/blue and nude wedges that I wore here, well while I was strolling through my local TJ Maxx this past weekend, I spotted the exact same shoes in this brown and gold combo! I didn’t think twice and snagged these babies as fast as I could.  They are SO comfortable.  And they are the perfect height because they can be gussied-up and worn out  on the town, but they are also not overly tall so I can definitely wear them to work! I feel like the neutral tones, plus a wedge with straps keeps this shoe on the modest side and my foot is not flopping about! So, run! don’t walk to your nearest TJ Maxx and find them! I also spotted them in black and silver at Marshall’s, fyi 🙂

I hope everyone is having a great week thus far! I only have two weeks left at my current job (sobs and tears) and then begin my new journey on the 21st (happy dance, thankfulness & pure excitement)! My only concern is… will they have a full-length bathroom mirror? LOL… but for real though…! Okay girls, have a great day!
