Coffee & Sale Shopping with Sabby!

Hola Chicas! So this image fits pretty darn perfectly for this morning because this past week we have began our home remodel! Are we up for some major work? Yep, you betcha.  But we are so excited! I have a vision, people and gosh darn, it’s going to become a reality!  So today we are priming the wood work in our bedroom and then will begin painting the entire ceiling and walls, along with all the trim, framing, and doors white!  We are up and at ’em but no matter what…. I mean, no matter what… mama needs her coffee!  Tone knows not to talk to me until I’m half way down my mug and I’ve put my contacts in ha!

PIT // Realizing just how stinkin’ much this remodel is going to cost.  A pretty penny.  BUT, Tone and I are quite determined to become little DIYers and he really hit it hard this week! I came home to the entire basement (wood paneled walls, gross) primed and ready to go for paint!  And you know what else is sad? When your dream paint color costs an arm and a leg!  So our awesome construction guy and the kind soul at Menards guided us in the right, more affordable, direction.  Stay tuned for updates!

PEAK // It was such a great week at work! Long? Yes.  But I ended the week on a high note, accomplishing and crossing a lot of big items off of my to-do lists! And I’ve said it time and time again, I have the best coworkers who inspire and encourage me daily.  They are my peak of the week!

So, I feel it is my duty to share with you gals some awesome shoes and sunnies I recently purchased  Thank me later.

Okay, GF’s, have an amazing weekend and be good to YOU!

Shabby Apple

Hi friends and happy Monday to you all!  Where. Did. The. Weekend. Go.  Oh I know, today we are starting construction on our master bedroom so we spent all day Sunday clearing out every single piece of furniture, clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, pictures, decor, and tv out of the bedroom and man, was that exhausting! BUT, I think this was the boost we needed to finally start updating our house.  It’ll be 5 years in July that we’ve been here, but I didn’t know how long-term our stay was going to be, so we haven’t made any cosmetic changes to it.  But after doing some major evaluation and realizing that we have a house that has some great bones and lots of space, plus an amazing location and one of the most desired neighborhoods in Omaha, I think we are here to stay!  I am a bit overwhelmed in thinking where in the heck we will start.  But thankfully my dad is not only a talented graphic designer, he just so happens to be a master carpenter and will help us make our home dreams come true!  First things first, knock out a wall and build out our master bedroom closet and then paint the wood work white through out the house! Wish us luck 🙂

Now, onto this darling (so so darling) pink Shabby Apple skirt!  It speaks to me.  This shade of pink is just brilliant and the fit of this skirt is on-point.  The lovely sheer lining and stripe detail turns an ordinary pink skirt into a bold, sassy piece! I opted for my favorite chambray shirt, a fun necklace, my new Beau Bag, and my go-to nude pumps.  Let’s face it, when you are wearing this skirt, you don’t need much because it pretty much is the outfit!

Thanks so much for reading and have an awesome day, GF’s!!!

But First… Coffee + IG Lately

Hello friends! How was everyone’s week? I apologize for the lack of blog posts these past few days!  I. Was. Exhausted.  I needed a week to decompress and recover from our Gala last Saturday (which was super successful, btw and thanks so much for your kind words and well wishes!) and getting some things crossed off my long overdue to-do list!  That being said, I am soooooo happy it is the weekend and a normal weekend, at that!  I plan to spend lots of quality time with Tone and the pups, have a lazy morning in bed with multiple cups of coffee, doing some much needed grocery shopping, and of course, shooting some bloggity blog photos!

PIT // Even though we are grateful that Roger’s diabetes diagnosis is manageable and treatable, these vet trips and subsequent bills are getting outrageous!  I would spend zillions of dollars on my dogs, like legit, I would, but good gosh there has to be a break soon!  But I am reminded just how lucky we are that we have the means to give him a long and healthy life, so the complaining bus stops right here!  If I have to not buy that pair of shoes or those white distressed jeans I’ve been eyeing, then so be it!

PEAK // Hearing so many lovely words of praise and support that our Team received after a successful fundraising event.  You guys, I am so very blessed to work with such a talented and incredibly intelligent and cool group of women that inspire and drive me every day.  The customer experience of our guests was 110% percent and people so generously poured their hearts and pockets out to support the amazing programs and services that our agency provides!  If you want to learn more about Heartland Family Service, click here! I am on the Community Relations Team and have to give so much credit and praise to those who work directly with our clients to help them create the path to a better tomorrow!

Because this last weekend was spent working away/recovering and this week was all about regrouping, I didn’t get a chance to shoot any blog photos, so I am sharing what’s new on the ole Instagram feed and my daily looks from this past week!

Jeweled Tunic // Pearl Cuff // Floral Brocade Jacket // Black Satchel // Cognac Hobo // Pink Skirt // Wide Brim Hat // Sandals // Denim // Robinson Cream Cross-body // Snakeskin Belt // Leopard Pumps // Black Belt // Gold Reva Flats

Hey GalPals!  It’s a rare Sunday post, but I just had to share my favorite picks from the Tory Burch 25% Off Sale!  And the beauty of this sale??? These items are already on sale!  Yep, that’s right.  Say it with me: Tory. Burch. On. Sale. Plus. An. Additional. 25%. Off.  Just enter the code SALE25 at check-out.  It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.  I really love TB but can’t always (like never) afford a splurge every time I see a new satchel or pair of Reva flats, so it is really important for me to practice patience and wait, and wait, for a good sale to roll around!  Like I stalked my TB shopping cart for months when I wanted my Thea Triple Zip Satchel, and then their Cyber Monday sale came up and boom, $100 off and free shipping + no tax.  Now, that is the way to buy! And it is my very favorite bag and I am so happy with that purchase; it pays to sale shop!

Have a great Sunday and thanks so much for stopping by today! And tag/comment/email with your TB sale purchases!

Saturday Coffee // Me + YOU!

Screen Shot 2015-02-13 at 7.49.54 PM

HOW PERFECT IS THIS MUG?!? It is so me, ask Tony! He knows not to talk to me until I’ve had my morning coffee!

Good morning and happy Saturday, friends! So today we (my work/Team) are hosting our annual Gala and I am so, so excited to finally see it all come together!  The copious amounts of coffee and donuts that are consumed during the weeks leading up to this day, along with the very long hours, are completely worth it when the end of the night comes and we realize we have raised SO much money that goes directly to the 50 programs offered through our agency!  So while you lovers are wining and dining with your men, I’ll be running my tail off and spending the evening with my closest 500 friends!

PIT // Is it bad that I truly cannot come up with something to put here?  It was a very busy week preparing for tonight’s event, but I have an amazing Team and work for an incredible organization, so I really can’t complain over working hard!  But I sure do miss my boys while I’m gone during the day.  As much as I love working and my job, I wouldn’t mind being a stay-at-home blogger/puppy mom/house girlfriend!

PEAK // On Thursday I was inducted into Optimist Club!  My nerd/love-to-be-involved side comes out every Thursday morning when I get up at the crack of dawn to drive 35 minutes to attend the 7am morning Optimist Club with a group of people who are about 50+ years older!  I love meeting new people, forming relationships, and being involved with the community, so while I complain about getting up early, I am honored and so happy to be an official member of this neat club! Raising money for scholarships, supporting local nonprofits, and volunteering is most definitely something I am blessed to be a part of!

BRAGGING MOMENT // So my sweet manfriend (his name is Tony, if you’re a new reader!) is so good about making Valentine’s Day special. I’m not talking cheesy stuff, but like true-blue, we’re best friends and we’re in this together, forever, kind of special.  P.S., And if you haven’t ever bought flowers from Whole Foods, you must! They have the best blooms, and I know I can count on coming home to a bountiful bouquet of my favorite pink roses!  Some years we do gifts, some years we don’t; it all just depends on our budget, recent expenses, etc. but we always take a moment, get each other a card and share how much we appreciate one another.  Since I have my work event tonight, we will exchange cards and gifts on Sunday and then maybe indulge in a little HH!  I don’t need an expensive dinner, in fact, I would rather cook at home together, make some drinks, and get tipsy!

Well ladies, I hope you all have a loved and blessed Valentine’s Day and I am sending hugs and love to you all!  Happy Galentine’s Day, sista-friends!

50 Shades of {Purple}

Hey girl hey! How was everyone’s week? Mine flew by because we (my work) are hosting our large fundraising Gala on Saturday so our Team has been a bunch of busy, busy bees getting ready for the perfect night for our guests!!! It is going to be an awesome evening and I know all of the hard work will pay off ten-fold, but I’m ready for a day of relaxing come Sunday!  But hey, no rest for the weary, right?  And good things come to those who hustle.  And pray.  I pray lots 🙂

So, can I confess that I personally was in style heaven when wearing this little number this past snowy weekend? I seriously love it.  This floral blouse from Ro & De is Spring perfection and their clothing is beautifully made and truly fit like a dream!  This top will be on heavy rotation come this season.  And how adorable are these multi-colored aviators??? (ps, they are under $20 with the code SABBYSTYLE20)!  Move over Ray Bans, this budget-loving lady found your replacement.  I don’t know about you gals, but I tend to break/loose/break sunglasses on a semi-regular basis… so I have learned my lesson in not spending an arm and a leg on sunnies.

And did you see those sparkle stunners I am rockin’ on my lobes? If you haven’t checked out iCrave Jewels yet, then you are off your game! They are hand-made right here in the USA and Erin, the talented genius behind each piece, is such a doll!

| Floral Blouse // Ro&De c/o | Earrings // iCrave Jewels c/o (code SPARKLE20) | Necklace // Shop Fabulessly c/o | Denim // LOVE THESE (under $30!) | Handbag | Shoes (old) //  Similar | Sunnies // Mae Christina Accessories c/o (code SABBYSTYLE20) | Watch (under $130!!!) |

I hope you ladies had an awesome week and that you have an even better weekend!! Thanks so much for reading and have a fabulous day, GF’s!

A Pretty Printed Scarf!

Hello GF’s! Let’s just dive right in and talk about how so super cute this scarf is from Le Boutique Shop?!? Ahh I can’t even.  The plaid mixed with bright colors makes this print & color-loving lass quite happy!  It is the perfect weight and can be worn so many different ways.  It is not a true infinity scarf, but since I love that style, I usually do a loose tie at the ends and then tuck them behind my neck.  I then loop the scarf around to achieve the infinity look!  Or this scarf would be great as a wrap to add a touch of color to a somewhat basic ensemble! Kind of like it did to this number!

And I was finally able to snatch up this sweater that everyone has been rockin’ on IG!  I was a good girl and waited until it went on sale and luckily they had my size!  I love the menswear inspired vibe and paired with leggings and a great pair of leather booties, I felt like a cool kid 🙂

Scarf // Le Boutique Shop (code .. ) | Sweater | Booties (super similar (under $50!) and swooning over these!) | Leggings | Satchel (sold out, but great options here, here (under $22 and has leopard!!) and here) | Sunnies | Earrings |

Thanks so much for reading today, it means the world to me!

Valentine’s Day Beauty

V-day Beauty
Hello GFs and happy Wednesday!  So today’s WISH-LIST WEDNESDAY post is for all my beauty junkies out there! I, self-admittedly, am terrible when it comes to keeping up with the latest makeup and beauty trends and I’m even worse at investing $$$ into trying out those products.  Yes, I’m cheap!  But that doesn’t mean I don’t live vicariously through all of my fierce beauty queens!  So I’ve rounded up a bunch of pretty, pretty products that I am going to be trying out!  I think any of these items are sure to get you into the Valentine’s Day spirit, whether your spending the eve with your man or your best gal!!!
And, I want to know what products you swear by!  I’ll give you fashion, you give me beauty!

Saturday Coffee // Me + You!

Hi friends and happy freakin’ weekend to you all! How was everyone’s week? We got a crazy amount of snow (okay, not crazy like Boston dumped on, but still) throughout the week which made for a hectic and not normal work schedule.  Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE an adult snow day, but man, when my routine is thrown off, I’m thrown off!  Needless to say I am thrilled that the weekend is upon us and looking forward to a normal work week!

ROGER UPDATE //  I first want to thank you all so very much for the well wishes and prayers for our sweet little Roger.  We received the best of the worst news and Rog indeed does have diabetes.  But, I must say how thankful I am that it is manageable and we have the means to do just that!  He is only five and will have plenty of life and years ahead of him, and that makes this puppy mama very, very happy!

PIT // Spending a truckload at the Vet’s office! My word. Literally, they suck the life out of us! And then you add two dogs into the mix, and I swear we are shelling out half our paychecks to them a 3-4 times a year! But, again, I am so thankful that we have the means to provide such happy lives to our two little boys and they are worth every cent… even though mama would rather buy shoes!

PEAK //  It was my Grandpa Sab’s 85th Birthday last week and unfortunately I was in the ER with that awful kidney stone when we were supposed to go out to dinner with our family.  But on Tuesday after work I went over to his house for a visit and let me just say, those visits fill my heart with joy.  Being in that house gives me so much comfort and joy and I can still see my Grandma there.  She has long since passed due to ALS, but thankfully my Grandpa met Regina, his lady friend, many years ago, and though it took a while for us to adjust, he is happy and not alone.  And that is really all that matters! Plus, she made Tony and I (and my mom, dad, & sister) some awesome slippers so I guess she’s a keeper 🙂

It’s also my mom’s 54th Birthday today! I can’t wait to head out with the fam tonight for some food and delicious drinks!  PS, my mom is the best ever.  Like really though.  Many people say I am just like her and I love that.  Because if I become half the woman that she is, then that is a fine life lived!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have yourselves a wonderful weekend!
