Hey gal pals! How was your week? We have our big Iowa fundraiser tonight and I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit nervous! Nervous/anxious/excited/hopeful that not only the guests have an awesome experience, but that we also reach our event goals. This event supports all of the programs and services we offer in southwest Iowa so it is very important that we have a grand-slam event! <— It’s a vintage baseball theme!
So I apologize for having been m.i.a. these past few weeks on the blog and IG and for being tardy with my blog email responses and blog comments. I see every single one that comes my way and they all mean so much!
Here’s a little look at what’s been new to IG this past week 🙂

Thanks so much for reading and have a fantastic Fri-YAY, GF!
I can’ tell you the last time I felt this free and light and it’s all in part to my new, short locks and this darling floral dress! I’ve been holding onto my long locks for so long now that I really felt (super) ready to chop-chop and sport a new look. Even my hair gal aka the Hair Whisperer, was hesitant to cut it short so after two visits, she finally was like okay, let’s do it! She did such an amazing job with the cut and we added some lighter, blonder pieces, too. I feel summer ready! In fact, I used to have to re-style my hair a few times through out the day and with this shorter cut, I haven’t had to do that once. Not once! Ahh, I’m a happy camper!
And you know what else makes me happy? Easy, breezy dresses that you can throw on and feel instantly good… well, girlfriends, meet this floral number from Juliana’s Boutique! The fabric is so light and soft, and it drapes so effortlessly. Also, I love that it has the off-the-shoulder look along with straps! For ladies who have bigger chests, this was made for us. And the straps are adjustable so it’s a great fit for all! I went with a size Small and it runs a bit loose for that boho vibe!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
So here she be… short hair, don’t care! You guys. I am in loooove with my new do. It is so light, bouncy, and I feel like a whole new gal! On Sunday, Tone and I met my GF, Michelle, and her hubby, Ben, at Kona Grill for some sushi and then we walked the outdoor mall to take some photos. This was the first time I’ve had a professional and someone other than Tony take my photos, so needless to say I was a bit nervous and felt so silly! Good thing the stores were all closed so we had the place to ourselves 🙂 I have always known that my girl, Michelle, is insanely talented in so many ways, but I was blown away at how these pictures turned out. And not for any reason that has to do with me. But for the reason that she is truly a professional and I am in awe of her mad skills! So, if you are in the Omaha-Metro area, be sure to check her out because she is the bomb.com!

Hi friends! I am SO sorry for being a delinquent blogger. Work has been insane in the membrane as we are gearing up for one of our biggest fundraisers next Friday, which requires mucho time from the Development Coordinator/Event Planner, aka ME! But, you better believe I carved out some Hawaii outfit planning last weekend and will most definitely be sporting this little number while on vacay. The fabric is so forgiving, which is needed after some indulgence and libations, and the colors are beautiful! And how cute is the cut-out back? Yep, it’s pretty much a killer any way you look at it! So whether you have a beachy vacation planned, a mexican fiesta party, or a lake day approaching, this dress is made for you!

Thanks so much for reading today. I hope you guys have an awesome weekend and I promise that I will be back to normal blogging so soon… one more week!
Okay, how perrrfectttt is this adorable floral top! I mean, I can’t even. I LOVE it! We are headed to Hawaii in less than three weeks so I’ve been trying on looks and planning my vacay outfits and this one is a definite hell yeah! From the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew it had to be mine! And can we talk about those sleeves? Ahhhh, I know, so cute! And you can rock this as an off-the-shoulder top, which is all the rave this summer! I loved it with white jeans and I think it will look fab with white denim shorts and a great pair of ripped boyfriend jeans! I cannot wait to wear this over and over, especially during our Hawaii trip!
