Seats Filled, Heart Full… #GNO

Seats filled, hearts full is how I would describe Wednesday evening.  Girls Night Omaha event #2 – Fall in Love with Layers – was a blast!  I beyond thankful and quite humble for the opportunity to share my passion with others.  We had a fabulous guest, Dana, who is one part of the dynamic duo behind Talisman, a vintage brand that specializes in perfectly curated collections of gorgeous and one-of-a-kind handbags, shoes, and accessories! We took all of your feedback from the first event and poured it into this second event, in a major effort to make it better than ever.  We had swag bags, Inspired Living magazines, and discount shopping codes galore, plus some pretty fabulous giveaways!  There were six models, instead of three and I specifically ordered every single piece of clothing and accessories that each girl was wearing.  Plaids, Fringe, & Suede took center stage and boy did we layer on the accessories!

The Cookie Girl made us some delicious cookies and the gals behind Inspired Living shared their amazing Adult Egg Nog and Holiday Sangria recipes with us for our guests’ delight!  Paper Lovely goods made an appearance (the cutest and most adorable prints and cards made by a turn-of-the-century Letterpress) and jewels from Haute Bauble landed their way into the goodie bags.  Blooms, a local flower shop, donated their flower power and those centerpieces were the icing on the cake!  My sweet fiancé (owner of Keep Cool Watches) provided our blogger guests with plaid watches and a local hair extraordinaire, Becca, generously gave a styling tool to one lucky lady as a giveaway prize!

So to sum it all up, the seats were filled, our hearts are full, and everyone left with a smile (and a shopping bag full of fabulous Fall pieces)!  Thank you to everyone for supporting us in this endeavor.  Michelle and I couldn’t be more grateful for allowing us to follow our dreams and to spread the love to local shops and business owners in Omaha.  And a huge shout out to Four Sisters Boutique for being loyal partners and friends!

PSA – Do yourself a favor and use the code GNO10 until Wednesday at Four Sisters Boutique new online site!

Better With Friends…

What is better with friends, you may ask? Everything.  Today marks one week until our GIRLS NIGHT OMAHA event #2 and I can’t help but feel all sorts of feels!  But mostly I am feeling a deep sense of thankfulness.  I am beyond thankful that a.) Michelle is/has been my girl long before we both fell into our passions for blogging and photography aka being our own bosses, b.) That we get to pursue our dreams together, c.) That we are doing big things together, professionally and personally, and d.) That she will stand by my side when Tony and I say “I Do”.  Near or far (literally, she moved to Orlando a few years ago so we were very far!), we have remained thick as thieves and we could always pick up right where we left off.  Her passion and goals and the excitement and vision she has for not only herself, but for me and for so many others, is down right contagious.  She’s one bad ass chick and I am feeling beyond grateful that God put her in my life.

New to the blog??? Here’s the back Story on Girls Night Omaha and how/why Michelle and I started this journey..

Launched in August of 2015, Girl’s Night Omaha began as the brain child of fashion and lifestyle bloggers, Michelle Bazis and Sara Sabaliauskas. With an exciting idea and a lot of heart, we saught out to develop a series of custom events catered to community interest, while providing an opportunity to celebrate local businesses and entrepreneurs. With the support of friends and fellow-bloggers, the first ever Girl’s Night Omaha was a major hit! Michelle and I have already begun working on future Girl’s Night Omaha events and look forward to bringing it to communities all over the United States (and the rest of the world)!

[Inaugural] Saturday Coffee with Sara

Image || Top Inspired

Hey gals and happy Saturday to you all!  So I have been doing some brainstorming and reflecting in regards to this blog, who I am, and what I’m all about… And it dawned on me that I have only been sharing a tiny piece of my life with you as of late.  While I love all things fashion and style, there is so much more to life than just the clothes we wear, so I decided to start a recurring Saturday post called SATURDAY COFFEE WITH SARA!  I want to be personal, intimate, share and care with all of my amazing readers and friends every Saturday morning so we can get to know each other more and support one another in our endeavors!

These posts are going to be a weekly recap, if you will.  The week’s peak and pit!  I don’t want to define in too much detail what will be discussed, because life is so unpredictable and we are complex human beings! But I am pretty sure you can count on me sharing stories and images of my precious puppies, my amazing manfriend, my career, my hopes & goals, my trials and tribulations, my fitness journey, the path to eating whole to remedy stomach health issues, my family, and travels!

 PEAK || As an event planner for a large nonprofit in the Omaha-Metro area, I get to meet SO many awesome people in the community.  I love networking, creating relationships, sharing stories, and raising awareness about our Agency and the many life-sustaining programs and services we offer to over 50,000 people a year!  One of my “duties” is to host a monthly event called Good Works 101.  Usually this lunch gathering takes place at our main office in one of the conference rooms, but every once in a while we have a Board Member host a special after-hours Good Works.  And this past Wednesday, one of our awesome members had my Team out to her small town in Iowa.  Not only are her and her husband pillars of their community, hospitable, and extremely successful, they are also kind, compassionate, and philanthropic.  They believe in our mission and are strong advocates for all of the important work we do!  About 30 people were at this intimate event and I had the pleasure to meet so many nice people!  For me, that is what my job is all about.

PIT || Letting my emotions get the best of me.  Not maintaining my positivity.  I have to remember that not everyone wears their heart on their sleeve as I do.  My sensitive soul, which makes me ME, can also cloud my pragmatic thinking and that is something that I know I need to work on.  Honest moments of reflection here, people!

So thank you for taking a slice out of your busy weekend to read Sabby Style and I truly hope you enjoy Saturday Coffee with Sara, xo!

Hello loves and Happy Friday!  How was everyone’s week? Mine always fly by, which is a good thing! But I sure do hate how fast time goes by 😦 I cannot believe it is almost November!  I feel like we are quickly going from fall style and light layers to bundling up for the brutal winter cold and I am just not ready! Though I am excited to bust out my new pair of black Hunter rain boots 🙂 I can’t wait to see what fabulous looks you are going to share with us this week and as always, thank you for stopping by and linking up with us!

This week’s featured blogger is the lovely Liz from Sprinkles & Sequins!  Her layered look is perfect for that brisk fall day! I am swooning over that military jacket and think that I just might need to add another one to my collection 🙂 I know, I’m so bad!  PS, how awesomely comfy does her wine-hued sweater look? It is my new favorite color and am loving it this season!
