Hi gals and happy Tuesday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just two days away??? Where the heck did this month go? Though I hate how fast time passes by, I am pretty darn excited to eat my face off on Thursday and to begin decking our halls for Christmas! I used to be quite the shopping procrastinator (like Christmas Eve) when it came to finding the perfect gifts for my loved ones. And after a few hectic experiences and swearing to myself I would never wait to the last minute again, I have finally got my buns in gear to get my shopping done early! I have the most adorable mom and sister, plus some pretty fabulous galpals, so I created this gift guide with them in-mind. Most everything you see here is under $50, plus free shipping! I can’t get over those emoji earrings (like hello, perfect for your favorite social media lovin’ lady in your life) and those black booties are under $75! Not to mention those darling accent pillows and glitter stemless wineglasses are not only darling, but inexpensive and ideal for a cozy homebody and/or wine lover!
Hi sister-friends and happy Friday!!! How was everyone’s week? Ours was super busy-bee with work events and we had our first snow fall! Yes, you are reading that right. And it also rained cats and dogs, hailed golfballs, and we had lightening strike our neighbor’s tree. Yeah, super bizarro weather!
Anywho, it’s no secret that I love every single shade of pink, so when I saw this super cozy pink sweater from Chicwish, I seriously couldn’t resist! It is such a pretty shade of pastel pink and it has that over-sized feel without looking like you’re wearing a potato sack. And not only are blush tones very in for Fall & Winter, this little number will transition flawlessly into Spring. Making it the perfect addition to any outfit on those cool April days! I paired it with this darling tee and super adorable (and comfy!) booties from Peter Pyper and my favorite pair of light-wash ripped jeans. It was a casual yet chic outfit for a coffee date in Dundee with Michelle and Heidi!
Speaking of floral tee and booties, I am hosting a giveaway on Instagram with Peter Pyper to bring one lucky lady the chance to win their choice between the tee or the shoes! Head on over and join in on the fun!!! (@sarasab)

Hi sisters and happy Thursday! Saturday night was the day I have been waiting for since March (dun, dun, dun)…. the return of Creighton Basketball! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that Tony and I are diehard Creighton basketball fans and we never miss a game. In fact, last year we traveled from Omaha to NYC to watch our beloved bluejays play in the Big East tournament!
So you may be wondering, “Sara, what does this have to do with a fashion blog?”… and let me tell you, everything! I am not a t-shirt gal (especially those stiff, boxy mens style ones that they give out for free in the t-shirt launcher thingy at half-time) so the past few years I have figured out a few key ways to support my team and wear my blue, while still feeling cute! Here are my top tricks! And they can be applicable to any sporting event, no matter which team you cheer for!
Hey girls! When a shirt perfectly describes how you feel approximately 50% of your waking hours, one must get it, wear it as many times as socially acceptable, and when someone asks you why your a crab apple, you just point to your shirt, and say, enough said. LOL! But legit, I am hungry all. the. time. I eat about 5-6 times a day and when hunger strikes, I seriously do get testy! So the message here is that hangry-ness happens and no one is safe! This Hangry Tee from Sheinside.com is just under $9 and can most definitely be dressed up or down. I’ve worn it as seen here, but have also paired it with leggings, a big cozy sweater, and my white chucks for a Starbucks afternoon this past weekend!
I love dressing up simple tops and graphic tees with a great structured blazer and my more-holes-than-fabric favorite pair of jeans! The fitted jacket and pointed-toe heels take this from basic to date-night chic in a blink of an eye! When wearing a top that has a saying or vivid print, I like to keep my jewelry simple, but that doesn’t mean understated! The beautiful necklace and silver bangle bracelets from Musana Jewelry were the perfect match for this neutral look! Musana’s Mission is very simple…Helping women become empowered and strong while providing fierce fashion. Their artisans work full-time at a workshop in Lugazi, Uganda. For most of them, it’s the first time they’ve received a steady salary. The financial stability of employment allows artisans to provide their children with a stable home, nutritious food, medical care and an education.
Thanks so much for reading and have an awesome day, GFs!!!

Hola GF’s and happy Sunday! I know what you’re thinking, Sara, a Sunday blog post? That is unusual… what is the special occasion??? Well…. I am so excited to announce that my favorite store and the host of our #girlsnightomaha events, Four Sisters Boutique, is launching their online site today! So many of my most popular Instagram posts and Girls Night Omaha event outfits include at least one piece from FSB and everyone always asks, how do I order this, can I call the store to order, and when can I get this online?! Well wait no longer because I’m so happy to say that the day is finally here and they are open for business! Be sure to join in on the fun and help us celebrate by using the code LAUNCHPARTY for today only to take 10% off your online purchase!
Now let’s talk about this mustard yellow dress. First, if you follow me on Instagram, then you know I am crushing hard on all things yellow, so it was no surprise that this mustard number had to be mine! Second, it. has. pockets. Yes, pockets! I’ve never met a dress with pockets that I didn’t like! Third, I have this dress in black and it is the perfect LBD. I love the idea of long sleeve dresses because it allows me to show some leg while remaining covered on top! The length on these dresses are suitable for a variety of occasions. I wore this yellow dress to work the other day with with black tights, leopard booties, and a black blazer and I wore the black one to a wedding reception with nude strappy sandals and lots of gold accessories and bling!
This yellow, blue, and gray blanket scarf might be one of my very favorite color combos because there’s no hiding my love for yellow hues and shades of gray! The tights and scarf paired great together and I threw on my denim jacket because it was super chilly yesterday morning!

It’s probably no secret that I have an affinity for all things pink, ripped jeans, snakeskin heels, peplum tops, big sunglasses, and some pretty bomb.com jewelry. This outfit combines my fashion favorites and I seriously can’t get enough! I pulled this outfit together on a whim and really like how it all came together. And want to know why and how I did that??? Well with the bling! The jewelry is the literal icing on the cake! This gorgeous Michael Kors necklace is the definiton of frosting! I was beyond excited to partner with Michael Kors to help launch their Holiday 2015 Jewelry Line and I couldn’t be more ecstatic with how seriously fabulous each piece is. The silver mesh-like chain and sparkling Swarovski crystals make this necklace a cut above the rest with just enough dazzle for any occasion!
This collection may be deemed “holiday” but let me stress that these necklaces, earrings, and bracelet can be worn beautifully all year long!
Girly Meets Glam is how I would describe these mesh and crystal earrings! And I knew they would be the perfect accessory for this look that featured a flirty hemmed pink dress and my cropped black moto jacket! Just enough cool girl edge while remaining true to my pink-loving and colorful self!
The matching mesh gold and Swarovski crystals necklace and bracelet brought instant polish to an otherwise casual (and very Fall-esque) outfit of a plaid shirt and cozy sweater! You gals know that I always rock a very stacked wrist, and this bracelet might be the perfect addition to my collection. I’ve been wearing it every day! I mix and match it with my other favorite bracelets and my favorite two-toned boyfriend watch. When in #ootd doubt? Throw on the biggest sunnies you own, grab your favorite bag, and top it all off with some serious bling, bling!
The juxtaposition of mesh & metal paired with delicately placed stones allows this necklace to be styled in a thousand different ways. As you can see, there is nothing “holiday party” about these looks. In fact, these are outfits that can be worn all year round and for a variety of occasions! That is why I stand behind jewelry investment pieces because they truly are timeless, of the highest quality, and never go out of style. (<— Having a T-Swift moment right here)!
Thank you to Michael Kors for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own!
Hey gals and happy Thursday! I have to admit that I am not great about wearing vests. Like, I want to be a vest person so badly! And I admit that I have quite a few of them, but for whatever reason I just don’t seem to automatically reach for them when putting the finishing touches on my outfit. I think it partly has to do with that I am on the bustier side of life for my petite 5″2 frame, so the idea of adding layers (aka bulk) to my body doesn’t seem appealing!
However, life. changed…. Introduce this fabulous black vest/sleeveless trench! It is sleek, streamlined, and was made to compliment a woman’s body. The cut, even worn unbelted and open, is not large and baggy, but has a nice tailored look! Plus it’s 40% off, making it under $54! This is a classic closet staple that can transition from season to season quite seamlessly and it won’t ever go out of style!
I wanted to keep it casual so I opted for a basic striped tunic tee, black fleece lined leggings, the gray booties I wear all the time, and my very favorite reversible tote!
Black Vest c/o Pleione Clothing // Stripe Tunic // Leggings // Gray Booties // Gold Monogram Necklace – 3XL, 18in Chain // Turquouise Necklace // Earrings // Sunnies // Reversible Tote // Kate Spade Watch – under $50! // Bracelets c/o Bauble Boutique – use code Sara20 // Pink Lippie
Have a fabulous day, GF’s!
What is better with friends, you may ask? Everything. Today marks one week until our GIRLS NIGHT OMAHA event #2 and I can’t help but feel all sorts of feels! But mostly I am feeling a deep sense of thankfulness. I am beyond thankful that a.) Michelle is/has been my girl long before we both fell into our passions for blogging and photography aka being our own bosses, b.) That we get to pursue our dreams together, c.) That we are doing big things together, professionally and personally, and d.) That she will stand by my side when Tony and I say “I Do”. Near or far (literally, she moved to Orlando a few years ago so we were very far!), we have remained thick as thieves and we could always pick up right where we left off. Her passion and goals and the excitement and vision she has for not only herself, but for me and for so many others, is down right contagious. She’s one bad ass chick and I am feeling beyond grateful that God put her in my life.
New to the blog??? Here’s the back Story on Girls Night Omaha and how/why Michelle and I started this journey..
Launched in August of 2015, Girl’s Night Omaha began as the brain child of fashion and lifestyle bloggers, Michelle Bazis and Sara Sabaliauskas. With an exciting idea and a lot of heart, we saught out to develop a series of custom events catered to community interest, while providing an opportunity to celebrate local businesses and entrepreneurs. With the support of friends and fellow-bloggers, the first ever Girl’s Night Omaha was a major hit! Michelle and I have already begun working on future Girl’s Night Omaha events and look forward to bringing it to communities all over the United States (and the rest of the world)!

Hey gals and Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? We had gorgeous weather here this past weekend with the leaves changing colors and are slowly beginning to fall. The mornings and evenings have a chill in the air, but the afternoons have been sunny and warm, which is the perfect opportunity to head to my favorite outdoor spot to do some blogging! And when I head out the door, I tend to throw my entire life into a large purse, but there is never enough room for my laptop! And since I often blog & do blog business from coffee shops and hidden outdoor gems, I knew I needed to step up my tote game. Enter this seriously fabulous large tote bag from Veeshee! This online store is SO cool because each piece is completely customizable, made perfectly just for you! I opted for the Bogatta Bag in black linen with camel leather and an inside leopard print lining! And you know I had to throw a monogram on there 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I change my handbags almost daily, and I always get asked how I manage to do this before work everyday??? The trick is to compartmentalize all your key essentials into smaller bags. This allows for me to simply grab the smaller bags and my wallet and simply toss in my purse of the day! It just so happened that I was in major need of a new little bag, so I picked out the Kato Cosmo Bag in a Black & Tan Ikat print with matching leopard lining on the inside, just like my tote! The Kato Cosmo Bag is big enough (and has an inside pocket) so I can fit all of my lip glosses, concealers, travel lotion, headache medicine, bandaids, travel toothbrush & toothpaste, and floss!
Never heard of Veeshee? No problem, let me fill you in! At Veeshee, they make it easy to choose your own fabrics, patterns, and leather and each piece is made on-demand in their Athens, GA facility… That’s right, handmade in the USA! As I can see (and you will too), the quality is top-notch and each unique product is made with care. The magic starts when you first visit the online design studio, and from there you are guided through the step by step process. It’s incredibly easy, and fun, to create custom bags and monogrammed baby gifts, choosing from luxurious fabrics to create something you’ll cherish for years to come.
And because I know Mondays can be rough and tough, I have teamed up with the gals from Veeshee to bring you the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind, unique, and totally customizable bag! Just head over to my Instagram (@sarasab) to enter!
Can’t wait to see if you are the winner and want to get your bag today? No prob! Use code SABBYSTYLE for a 10% discount on your custom pieces!
Thanks so much for reading and have a happy day!
