A Poppin’ Clutch!

Hello gals!  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and a great Monday!  My Monday started off great, as I was able to promote our fundraiser event, bright and early on a local news show with one of our VP’s (Basically very fun, but nervous and exciting and a career first = great experience!)

But then tone called and told me some not so great news.  He was taking the boys on their daily walk in the park when Franklin was suddenly attacked by a very large Shepard/Husky breed of dog.  Thankfully, Tony was super quick to react and was able to save Franklin.  Literally, save his life.  Our other pup was so scared that he tried to run and get away.  And guess how bad the dog’s owner felt? Zero.  Nothing.  They didn’t event react or run to help.  I cannot tell you how mad it makes me that ignorant, irresponsible people put others in danger.  There is a leash-law for a reason.  The dog appeared friendly and then out of nowhere, attacked Franklin and punctured his neck and ribs.  And I’m not even mad at the dog; I am a true animal lover to the core.  I believe that bad/harmful pets are created by irresponsible/negligent owners.

It could have been so much worse and I am so thankful to have my little guy still here with us.  I will be cuddling the poo out of him!  So word to the wise, please leash your dogs and be a responsible pet owner!

Now, let’s move on and discuss this clutch brought to you by Sew Sarah R!  She seriously makes BY HAND the most perfectly crafted clutches in punchy, bright patterns and hues!  Also, her bloggity blog is pretty fantastic, as well, so stop on by to shop and get some major style inspiration!

Printed Peplum + Friday Frills Link-up!

photo 3Hello GalPals and HAPPY FRIDAY!  Who is ready for the weekend?——> This girl!  Tony’s been away frolicking on a trip with his buddy so I think that made the days drag on and I can’t wait for him to get his booty home so we can spend some QT together!

Now let’s chat about the fact that I finally was able to wear this Peter Pilotto peplum top! The graphic print coupled with bright, cool hues and amazing structure makes for one flattering ensemble!  I had anticipated wearing this with white skinny jeans but it felt a bit too ‘look at me,’ so I opted for my favorite pair of jeans (AG Jeans The Legging Ankle… 5 way stretch is the bees-knees, people!) and the perfect nude strappy sandal that I got for FREE (thanks to my mom’s Kohl’s Cash!) and my go-to MK clutch.  And what’s a date-night outfit without a statement necklace? I seriously cannot get enough of the rosette necklaces.  When I saw Purple Peridot busting this beauty out in their spring line, I knew I had to make it mine!

Good as Gold + N Side a Diva’s Closet

Hello loves!  Today I am doing a product review for the company N Side a Diva’s Closet and I am happy to report that I love all of the products they so kindly sent me!

These mint and neon yellow earrings are pretty much everything! I am always leery about large, statement earrings because I dislike heavy pieces that pull down on my little lobes and I end up having to take off half-way through the night.  These definitely make a statement but did not once feel uncomfortable or heavy! I paired them with neon yellow pumps, camo skinny jeans, a deep-v draped black blouse, a dainty gold necklace, and a cream and gold Jimmy Choo clutch!  It was one of those nights where everything came together so effortlessly! And of course I forgot to snap a pic 😦  I am going to have to recreate it again soon!

As of late, I have been drawn to dainty bangles and bracelets (it all started with my first Alex & Ani purchase!) so I was eager to receive this particular piece.  Also, I have super duper small/skinny wrists and this particular bracelet was just the right size for me! I love the gold and yellow/amber stone and I think it will pair nicely with all of my go-to armcharm pieces!

LOVE! Gold, bling and the message of Love… what else could a gal need in one necklace? Don’t get me wrong, I love a large, bold and bright statement necklace, but sometimes, simple is best!  I paired this necklace with a sideways cross necklace that Tony got me for Christmas two years ago (I wear it everyday!), a simple black v-neck tee, distressed denim and a pair of white patent leather pumps! It was just enough sparkle to add to my laid-back look while keeping the look simple and carefree!

Be still my heart.  I love the coral and bright blue hues of this bracelet and it has the perfect amount of stretch which ensures a great fit for everyone! I wore this bracelet with neon peach boyfriend-esque pants from Gap, a cream sweater with neon paint-splatter details and nude bow heels.  It added just the right amount of punch to my work look!  These colors work marvelously together and would look great with many, many ensembles!

Thanks for stopping by and as always, your support and friendship truly means the world to me! Have a great day Gal Pals!

Minty Blue + Florals

Happy Humpday Galpals!!! In keeping with my Tuesday Bluesday theme from yesterday’s post, I decided to bust out the blue and mint pieces I already own and create a new combo that was springy and bright, yet warm enough for my chilly morning commute.

I only have two more days left at my current job and I am curious to know what kind of mirror and lighting situation my new place of employment will have to offer for my #bathroomselfie enjoyment?!!! Haha the things I think about 🙂  PS, I am co-hosting Spotlight of the Week Link-up with Elle and Jacqueline tomorrow so make sure you link up your menswear-inspired looks!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope everyone’s week is going speedy and smoothly!

Tuesday Bluesday

Hello ladies and Happy Tuesday!  So today I wanted to share with you my current color crush = blue!  I don’t know why, but in the past I have loved blue on everyone else but never thought it was a good color for me.  I even have bright blue eyes and have always been told (by my mom) that blue looks ‘SO GOOD’ on me, but I just wasn’t buying it… literally!  But, as of late, I have been opening my fashion-box and welcoming some blue hues into my life and wardrobe!  Here are some pieces that I am swooning over and hope to make mine sometime soon!Tuesday Bluesday
Also, this Thursday I am co-hosting Spotlight of the Week Link-up with Jacqueline from Stylin in St. Louis and Elle from Living in Color Style, so make sure you visit our blogs and link up your fabulous Menswear-inspired ensembles!  Mush Alert… I just want to say thank you to all of my family, friends, and readers for supporting this little blog of mine and stopping by to see what’s new; it truly means the world to me!

Friday Frills | Statement Necklaces

Hello ladies and TGIF! I am bringing you some fabulous statement necklaces that I think you will really love and I know your bank roll will thank you! I cannot get enough of statement necklaces.  Like it’s a problem! Just when I think I’ve seen enough, Forever 21 strikes again.  My personal faves are the cobalt and gold tribal-esque beaded stunner (#8) as well as the coral draped bib (#1)!  I’m also swooning over the holographic beauty (#7) and it totally reminds me of something my darling friend, Kate, would wear! What are your favorite statement trends of the moment? It’s no secret that I love me some color and lots of bling so keep ’em coming, baby! Friday Frills | Statement Necklaces

Spring Flowers

Happy Saturday friends! What do you gals have planned this weekend? We are going to our dear friend’s wedding reception this evening and I am SO excited to celebrate their love! And I plan on having a few cold ones and viewing the Final Four games, making a run to the local Jcrew Factory and watching the country music awards!

Moving on…the weather here in NE has been so crazy and changes its mind by the minute! I’m so jealous of all my friends who are enjoying warm temps and sporting tan, bare legs! So, the only way to bring some Spring into my life was to wear this lovely floral sweater I purchased from my friend Peg and my go-to Emery Bow Flats!  But, since it was quite cold, I threw on this bright, neon coral infinity scarf that I purchased on a whim from Target.  And, I’m so glad I listened to my heart instead of my head, on this purchase!

Side Note: I love this new nail polish that my mama picked up for me! It is called Lemon Parfait from Mary Kay.  I really liked how it went on and it has held up pretty well throughout the week!

Now lets chat about these amazing necklaces! First, a huge thank you to Shop Urbanite as they sent me this beautiful Jcrew inspired gold and crystal bib necklace!  I think it paired perfectly with the blue hues in my sweater.  If you have not yet checked out Shop Urbanite; please do!

The second piece of business: this lovely mint tassel necklace from Leopard & Latte! It is the cherry-on-top accent to this entire look!

It has been an emotional week thus far, so I haven’t been snapping any outfit pics and I am just not feeling like myself!  I know everything happens for a reason, and I firmly believe that.  It’s just takes time to process, come to terms with closing that door, and looking for other opportunities.  This, too, shall pass!

So I thought I would recap and share some of my favorite March looks! PS, where did the month go?  Cheers to April; a new month with new opportunities!
