Hi gals and happy Tuesday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just two days away??? Where the heck did this month go? Though I hate how fast time passes by, I am pretty darn excited to eat my face off on Thursday and to begin decking our halls for Christmas! I used to be quite the shopping procrastinator (like Christmas Eve) when it came to finding the perfect gifts for my loved ones. And after a few hectic experiences and swearing to myself I would never wait to the last minute again, I have finally got my buns in gear to get my shopping done early! I have the most adorable mom and sister, plus some pretty fabulous galpals, so I created this gift guide with them in-mind. Most everything you see here is under $50, plus free shipping! I can’t get over those emoji earrings (like hello, perfect for your favorite social media lovin’ lady in your life) and those black booties are under $75! Not to mention those darling accent pillows and glitter stemless wineglasses are not only darling, but inexpensive and ideal for a cozy homebody and/or wine lover!
Hi gals and happy Monday! I am so excited to share that I have teamed up with Gordmans to show YOU how I get cozy at home [Bedroom Style] and on a budget! Gordmans offers incredible home decor pieces at even better prices and the style and aesthetic of what they carry is on-point. I joined forces with a few other bloggers who are also showing us how they incorporate Gordmans Fall Style into their home decor, so be sure to check out these fellow blogging babes! [Katalina Girl] [Life On Virginia Street]
Also, Gordmans has granted us the pleasure to offer YOU a 20% off coupon! Just follow this link and shop away!
Now, let’s break down all the goodies I picked up last weekend at Gordmans!
You guys. I am all about the pillows. Seriously! The more throw pillows, the better! Tony disagrees because he is a trooper and sometimes makes the bed when I don’t have time in the morning before work. And he knows I cannot stand when our bed isn’t made! It’s all fun and games until I come home to a disheveled bedroom and a messy bed! So yes, I have an unhealthy addiction with really cute throw pillows. It’s not good. Or is it??? Usually the pillows I pick out are way over budget, but to my delightful surprise, the enormous selection of affordable throw pillows that Gordmans has is truly a pillow hoarder’s dream!
Throw Blankets (really soft and cozy throw blankets) are also a major weakness of mine. Therefor, felt like a kid in a candy store when trying to choose just one! The patterns, fabrics, colors, fringe, etc.! I mean, how is a girl to choose. This gray and white geo print fringe number definitely had to make it’s way home with me!
White Heart Mug (not online yet)
When I can quench my thirst (hobby) for collecting coffee mugs, and for under $6 bucks, I skip down the aisles drunk on the brown stuff! I saw this darling white heart-handle mug, and it’s 20 ounce cup of goodness, and knew it would have a place in my cabinet! Gordmans has such a great selection of mugs, tumblers, and water bottles in all shapes, sizes, and colors! Like pillows, more the merrier.
You know when you have certain spaces in your room/house that are your “me” place. Where, on the outside it looks pretty and neat, but hiding in the drawers is an ungodly amount of used tissues and a heaping pile of receipts for items that you’ll “probably return”. Well for me, that place is definitely my nightstand! Lately, I’ve been feeling uninspired and unsure as to how I wanted to spruce it up. But literally after a few short minutes of roaming the aisles, I was pleasantly overwhelmed with how many fun and unique items Gordmans carries! They sure do have an abundance of darling home goodies. We will eventually be getting new, all-white bedroom furniture, but in the mean time, I am incorporating interesting accent items into our bedroom to keep it fresh and airy!
Blue Painted Canvas ( not online but love this one) – Silver Eiffel Tower (not online but this Eiffel Tower Canvas is perfection!) – “Happily Ever” After Jewelry Plate (not online) (Parisian Jewelry Plate)
I’m a sucker for uplifting sayings and I can always make room for more! I believe that a woman’s bedroom should be a place of serenity, positivity, and a safe space to retreat when the daily grind gets tough and you need a reprieve. Adding little quotes on neat decor pieces that remind us to be happy, be great, and to just be, are what makes a house a home. Gordmans has such a great selection of painted canvases, framed prints, and all sorts of fun wall art! I had such a hard time deciding on only one to bring home with me!
I bought this silver Eiffel Tower and “Happily Ever After” Eiffel Tower jewelry plate because I will be traveling to Paris in March! I love when pieces not only inspire but actually tell your story and remind you of the greatest adventures, and I imagine that these two items will do just that. Not only will our London and Paris trip be one for the books, but getting engaged to Tony truly was the most amazing day of my life and I can’t wait to live Happily Ever After.
And look who happened to come home in the middle of shooting our room?! Oh my sweet Tone. He is down-right goofy, always smiling and laughing, and he melts my heart! Still after 7.5+ years, he steals my heart and there is no one else I would rather create a home with.
Thank you to Gordmans for sponsoring this post and helping me feather my nest!
And don’t forget to spread the love to these gals who are also featuring their Gordmans Fall Style!

Seats filled, hearts full is how I would describe Wednesday evening. Girls Night Omaha event #2 – Fall in Love with Layers – was a blast! I beyond thankful and quite humble for the opportunity to share my passion with others. We had a fabulous guest, Dana, who is one part of the dynamic duo behind Talisman, a vintage brand that specializes in perfectly curated collections of gorgeous and one-of-a-kind handbags, shoes, and accessories! We took all of your feedback from the first event and poured it into this second event, in a major effort to make it better than ever. We had swag bags, Inspired Living magazines, and discount shopping codes galore, plus some pretty fabulous giveaways! There were six models, instead of three and I specifically ordered every single piece of clothing and accessories that each girl was wearing. Plaids, Fringe, & Suede took center stage and boy did we layer on the accessories!
The Cookie Girl made us some delicious cookies and the gals behind Inspired Living shared their amazing Adult Egg Nog and Holiday Sangria recipes with us for our guests’ delight! Paper Lovely goods made an appearance (the cutest and most adorable prints and cards made by a turn-of-the-century Letterpress) and jewels from Haute Bauble landed their way into the goodie bags. Blooms, a local flower shop, donated their flower power and those centerpieces were the icing on the cake! My sweet fiancé (owner of Keep Cool Watches) provided our blogger guests with plaid watches and a local hair extraordinaire, Becca, generously gave a styling tool to one lucky lady as a giveaway prize!
So to sum it all up, the seats were filled, our hearts are full, and everyone left with a smile (and a shopping bag full of fabulous Fall pieces)! Thank you to everyone for supporting us in this endeavor. Michelle and I couldn’t be more grateful for allowing us to follow our dreams and to spread the love to local shops and business owners in Omaha. And a huge shout out to Four Sisters Boutique for being loyal partners and friends!

Hola GF’s and happy Sunday! I know what you’re thinking, Sara, a Sunday blog post? That is unusual… what is the special occasion??? Well…. I am so excited to announce that my favorite store and the host of our #girlsnightomaha events, Four Sisters Boutique, is launching their online site today! So many of my most popular Instagram posts and Girls Night Omaha event outfits include at least one piece from FSB and everyone always asks, how do I order this, can I call the store to order, and when can I get this online?! Well wait no longer because I’m so happy to say that the day is finally here and they are open for business! Be sure to join in on the fun and help us celebrate by using the code LAUNCHPARTY for today only to take 10% off your online purchase!
Now let’s talk about this mustard yellow dress. First, if you follow me on Instagram, then you know I am crushing hard on all things yellow, so it was no surprise that this mustard number had to be mine! Second, it. has. pockets. Yes, pockets! I’ve never met a dress with pockets that I didn’t like! Third, I have this dress in black and it is the perfect LBD. I love the idea of long sleeve dresses because it allows me to show some leg while remaining covered on top! The length on these dresses are suitable for a variety of occasions. I wore this yellow dress to work the other day with with black tights, leopard booties, and a black blazer and I wore the black one to a wedding reception with nude strappy sandals and lots of gold accessories and bling!
This yellow, blue, and gray blanket scarf might be one of my very favorite color combos because there’s no hiding my love for yellow hues and shades of gray! The tights and scarf paired great together and I threw on my denim jacket because it was super chilly yesterday morning!

Thank you to Four Sisters Boutique for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own!
Hey you sexy thang you! I don’t about you, but I find myself wanting to do some shopping come Saturday morning, and that usually means online shopping from the comforts of my couch, fuzzy blanket, while watching trashy DVR shows, so today I’ve rounded up some great sale items I have my eyes on from Nordstrom.com! And guess what??? EVERYTHING IS UNDER $50!!! Happy Saturday!
Have an awesome weekend and be blessed & happy!
Hey sisters and happy Friday! Today I’ve rounded up my recent, and most popular, IG posts to answer your questions, provide sizing info, and link exact and similar items for each look! You’ll also notice that many of these pieces are ones that I wear on a constant rotation. And that is because I’m a firm believer in low cost-per-wear and getting the most bang for my buck! Be sure you are following along on Instagram (@sarasab) for my daily outfits and get your email registered over at LiketoKnow.it where you can shop my Instagram looks directly through your email!
This. Dress. I can’t even express how much I love it. Seriously, the cut and fit are super flattering (I’m wearing a size Small, fyi). The length is definitely work appropriate, but the ruffle hem adds that pop of fun & flirty that you should look for. Who says work wear has to be dull and boring?! Plus the spotted print in black and white makes it a classic piece yet can be paired with a ton of different accessories!
You know I love a heavy stack of bracelets, and when I found these beauties from Bauble Boutique, I was in heaven. The price points are oh-so reasonable and the quality is fantastic. I wear them literally everyday! Be sure to use the code Sara20 for a discount treat!
You had me at faux suede and elbow patches! Suede, faux or real (I prefer faux), is totally in this Fall and I most certainly jumped on that band wagon. This skirt is the perfect shade of brown and the button detail gives it a little pizazz that I look for in otherwise basic pieces. [NOT PICTURED]… This sweater has faux suede elbow patches. And they match perfectly with my skirt! Match made. Life made. I threw on these mules and my favorite striped satchel to keep it feeling fresh!
I can’t say I own a pair of Loubs… yet, but I know I would love to Love, Loubs, oh and Lattes! How cute is this tee? It’s from my favorite boutique, Le Boutique Shop. It is definitely more form-fitting and I am wearing a size XL for a more looser fit. Don’t have a pink blazer? Get one! This jacket added instant chic to a basic b ensemble.
Every girl should own a LBD and this little number takes the cake because it has pockets! And I am a believer in not showing it all (unless it’s 100 degrees out) so I love it when a shorter length dress has long sleeves. I will be pairing this dress with tights, leopard booties, and a utility vest in the coming weeks as the temps start to cool down. Not to mention how fab my neon yellow bag will look with this dress and a pair of OTK boots!
Remember what I just said, about not showing it all? Well this past weekend it was gorgeously warm and in the high 70s during the day, but definitely cooled down as the sun set. We were headed to afternoon HH and I didn’t hesitate to bust out the jean shorts one more time. But realizing that we are in-fact in Fall, I opted for this cream jacquard sweatshirt to balance out the bare legs. Add gray accessories and my go-to monogram necklace = instant day-date attire!
I hope you find these IG Recap posts to be helpful and please never hesitate to reach out with any questions about outfits, sizing, etc!

Hi gal pals and hooray for Saturday! What is everyone up to this weekend? We have no plans and I am actually quite excited about that! I wore this outfit last Saturday to a Havana Nights theme party at our friend’s house and it was so, so, sooooooo hot! I’m talking in the hundreds and 1,000% humidity level. Hence the very shiny face seen! But aside from the sweaty mess that commenced after these pictures, I was so excited to finally wear these shorts I purchased a month or so ago! I took them to Hawaii and never ended up wearing them and I was so bummed. I had planned to pair them with a white 3/4 sleeve linen shirt but gosh, it was just too steamy for that so I opted for this cream peplum top instead! It was a fun look for an evening spent with friends, drinking mojitos, and eating lots of cuban cuisine!
And has anyone been scoping out the deals over at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?! I picked up two more things last night and cannot wait for them to arrive!
The most perfect pair of heels that will go with everythinggggggg // Under $90!
Have an awesome weekend, friends!
Good morning friends and Hoppy Saturday! Spring is in the air and this is such a beautiful time of year. There is a sense of renewal and the earth is just about to bloom! I love celebrating Him with my family and celebrating the life He gave for us. My favorite tradition is watching the Ten Commandments movie. It is such a strong and powerful depiction of Moses’ story and his unwavering trust in the Lord. It has been a personal goal to stay committed to my daily bible study, so this year, more than ever, I feel blessed, thankful, and knowledgable about this holiday and what the true meaning of Easter is.
Now let’s hop to it and share the Pit and Peak of the week!
PIT // Tony and I were in a car accident last Saturday night and it was scary! Thankfully there weren’t any major injuries, aside from Tony having to go to physical therapy for a sore neck. And his truck should be fixed soon! But having to deal with insurance, getting a rental car, sharing a car for a few days, and having things up in the air is frustrating and an inconvenience. It’s just one more thing to add to an already busy plate. But the most important thing is that both parties walked away and it’s just a reminder to be a defensive driver!
PEAK // Three words… Three. Day. Weekend! And you know what I did with my day off? I did a major closet overhaul and have a ton of darling items (new and gently used) to list in my Instagram closet! I love, love, LOVE spring cleaning (well cleaning anytime, really) to refresh and make room for new! So, if you’re in the market for some amazing deals, hop on over to @sarasabscloset and shop your heart away!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a Happy Easter, God Bless!
